Recently we shared a demonstration video on green cleaning window blinds with jersey gloves. (If
you missed it or want to review the quick how to’s, click the link above.)
Since this proves to be a very quick and
effective way to green clean those challenging blinds, we began to brainstorm
other ways to knock out green cleaning tasks with cotton jersey gloves!
In like manner to cleaning window blinds; here are the steps
to follow for ceiling fans:
1. Supplies Needed: sturdy step stool, one or two clean cotton
jersey gloves, a clean rag, Brightly Green Multi-Purpose Cleaner or Brightly Green All-Purpose Degreaser, small bucket of warm water
2. Add to warm water,
either Brightly Green Multi-Purpose Cleaner or Brightly Green All-Purpose
Degreaser. Submerge jersey glove in warm
water, squeeze it out and place it on your hand.
Brightly Green cleaning products are 100% all-natural, eco-friendly, cleaners, non toxic and therefore safe for you to wear the gloves!
3.) Wipe top of ceiling fan blade, then underneath portion
of the blade. If your blinds are heavily
soiled, you will need to repeat Step 2 until you believe the blade is clean.
Interestingly… using
the jersey glove allows you to better know when the top portion of the blade is
completely clean because your fingers are so sensitive to touch!
4. Repeat Step 2 and
3 for all the blades.
5. Also wipe down all
other surfaces of the ceiling fan unit.
6. Dry the blades
with an additional jersey glove placed on your hand or with a clean rag.
7. If you want to
clean the light fixture, you should remove it (be sure it is cool to the touch
first!) then wash it out in the sink.
You can use Brightly Green Hand Dish Wash or Brightly Green
Multi-Purpose Cleaner.
Other handy tools to aid in green cleaning homes & offices are coming soon!
It’s summer—let’s green clean
fast and get outdoors!!
