Countdown to Thanksgiving Checklist

Thanksgiving Meal Menu Shopping Monday:
If you did not have time over the weekend, collect your menu items today!  This way you can make ahead of time various dishes and refrigerate or freeze for easier prep on Thursday.  Also, you will avoid last minute long lines at your local grocery.  Take Tuesday and Wednesday to green clean your home for your guests' arrival!

Green Clean Tuesday:

Spot check guest room.  Give a quick dusting off of bed frame, night stands and dresser with Brightly Green Wood Floor Cleaner.  Vacuum or sweep room clear of dust.

Look up!  Wipe down ceiling corners with Brightly Green Multi-Purpose Cleaner sprayed on a clean rag attached to broom bristles or flat mop end.

Get the refrigerator in order.  After all, you'll want plenty of room for all those delicious Thanksgiving leftovers!  Clear out all shelves discarding the "science project looking leftovers."   Wipe down shelves with Brightly Green Hand Dish Wash or Brightly Green Multi-Purpose Cleaner.  May I suggest one way I like to "repurpose" vegetables, pasta and rice?  Turn them into the basic ingredients for a soup. 

15 Minute all rooms tidy-up:  Make it a family game.  Set the timer and send people off collecting misplaced items and relocating those items to their proper destinations.

Green Clean Wednesday:

Spruce up bathrooms.  Wipe down all surfaces with Brightly Green Bathroom Cleaner or Brightly Green Granite and Tile Cleaner.   For a pleasant finale, add 5 drops of your favorite essential oil into the toilet brush bowl. 

Finish off with the floors.  Vacuum and or sweep floors & do a quick mop up with Brightly Green Wood Floor Cleaner for wood flooring or Brightly Green Granite & Tile Cleaner for tile/stone flooring.

Do ahead any Thanksgiving meal prep that you can before Thursday.

Need any last minute festive décor?  Look to nature.  Float cranberries in water and add floating candles.  Fill a tall glass container with pinecones and add as an accent piece.

1.)  Look over your holiday budget and gift list BEFORE heading out the door.  

2.)  Just because something is at a really good price, doesn't mean it is a necessary purchase.  Stick with your list and budget.

3.)  If it is not on your gift-giving list, don't add it to your list!

4.) Black Friday "doorbuster" deals are to entice shoppers to spend more in the store than intended.  Stick with the plan!  

5.)  Avoid the traffic and congestion altogether, purchase gifts on your list on Cyber Monday!
