There are almost seven weeks left until Christmas! Can you spare one hour over the weekend to spare yourself hours of stress during
the holidays?
It's all in the prep! Take an hour over this weekend or
sometime early in the following week to set up a simplistic, holiday plan. The right, thoughtful preparation will go a
long way toward reducing typical holiday stress and financial stress too!
Let's get holiday planning started (in an hour or less) with
three simple categories…
Make a Holiday
Planner:
Whether on computer, phone or good 'ole notebook, keep ALL
of your holiday plans in one convenient place that can be easily accessed!
Include the following in your holiday planner: budget,
gift ideas, school functions, work parties, family gatherings, travel plans, special
menus, and any other miscellaneous holiday activities.
**Note
to self—don't get overwhelmed by this list, you add to it as you think of
things! This hour of preparation is to
get you started on the right, clear-minded step as the holiday season approaches.
Budget Your Bucks!
As we all know we should "live within our means"
we should also give within our
means. You will find greater joy in
giving when you give stress free! Purchasing
gifts with the foreknowledge that we cannot really afford the purchases leaves
us haunted by upcoming credit card bills and can steal the joy of giving.
Gift giving on a tight budget may look like this:
Purchase gifts in one category for everyone; perhaps books,
clothing, gift cards, to name a few.
Go on a treasure hunt at local thrift stores to find
one-of-a-kind gifts for those on your list.
Upcycle findings from local thrift stores.
Create homemade gifts.
Take a Green
Cleaners Inventory:
Look through all your Brightly Green Cleaning products to be
sure you have what you need to green clean through the holidays! You won't want to run out of your favorite eco-friendly cleaners during the busier time of the season!
Green Cleaning Distributors…have you considered giving your
