This Mother's Day--Give Mom Nothing

“What!” you say, “give her nothing?!”

That’s right!  Moms like to be with their families.  It’s about TIME spent TOGETHER.

So dads and children, on Mother’s Day do what mom likes to do.  If your wife is a mother with preschoolers and or younger children in the home, perhaps she would appreciate some time to herself.  Take the kids off her hands for a while so she can get some much needed rest.

Perhaps mom loves to go to the park, then go to the park as a family.  Make it a day event.

She wants to be recognized as important to you, and the main way you can demonstrate that is by giving mom what she needs most.

Also, free mom up from having to do ANY chores.  Let the kids make her breakfast in bed.  Then have them clean up the kitchen.  Give mom a break, so she can completely enjoy herself!   Believe me, this will be appreciated (take it from a mom!).

I personally love to cook and bake, but having a day completely off would be a gift to me.  You know what your wife needs most, husbands, so get the kids organized and make a plan to treat mom right!  Remember, it’s called Mother’s DAY—not Mother’s Hour!

Thank you mom’s across America (and the world) for all you do!!

Earth Day 2013!

When: APRIL 22, 2013

Who:  Dads, moms, grandpas, grandmas, aunts, uncles, cousins,   young kids, older kids, kids-down-the-street; basically-- EVERYONE!

How:  Do something environmentally friendly!

We need to give our planet a HUGE, GREEN-CLEAN!!!

ü Get together friends, family, and or neighbors and clean up your neighborhood or local park.  Plant a tree!

ü Go throughout your home and look for ways you can have a more energy efficient environment.  For example; install low-flow showerheads, fix leaky faucets, replace light bulbs with energy efficient bulbs.  Eliminate chemical household cleaners in your home and replace them with sustainable, 100% all natural cleaners.

ü Offer free, tire air pressure inspections on senior citizens' vehicles in your neighborhood and fill their tires up with air if needed. (This will help their cars run more efficiently and save on fuel.) Get your teens involved in this project!

The ideas are too numerous to list—be creative!  Make it a group effort and have fun too!

Newest Green Company Spotlight Shines On...

Green Company Spotlight:

For Home, Bath, Body and Dog
Los Angeles, CA

What is ECO Apothecary about?

ECO Apothecary is about educating people regarding the benefits of using all natural products, and through bringing an awareness of the need for reducing waste.  They do this through offering products for home, bath, body and dog that are derived from nature and are sold with minimal to no packaging.

What sets ECO Apothecary apart?

Owner Danielle Bray shared with us that it is “doing refillables” that sets them apart.  People can come in with their own bottles and fill them with whatever product they desire, or they can purchase a refillable bottle from ECO Apothecary.  Refillables = Reducing waste.

Cultivating a sense of community with the neighborhood around ECO Apothecary as well as with her customers is very important to Danielle.  “It’s not always about the sale,” said Danielle.  She desires to help work with her customers for them to get just what they need.

Why did ECO Apothecary choose Baby Harmony Products?

For two main reasons Danielle shares:

1.)Baby Harmony All Natural Products are—all natural, plus they are scent free.

2.) She felt genuine personal care when contacting Baby Harmony.  Danielle told us that she was able to actually talk to the owner, Sharron, and found her to be very personable and helpful.

It's Soap & Bucket Time!

Where I live the “true sign of spring” is when the first robin arrives on the scene.  This past week I saw my first robin pecking at the ground!  Having sighted it, I grabbed my phone to call my family with the news.  No, they had not yet seen a robin, so I go to claim this year’s “First Sighting Award”!

So what did this “revelation sighting” do for me?
