The Week Before Christmas--Green Clean Checklist

Feeling in the mood for a light-hearted Christmas comedy, I watched “Christmas with the Kranks” last night. As in the movie, if loved ones cannot be with us, we are less inclined to decorate and or host holiday get togethers.  If holiday guests are on the docket, that can be our motivation for making our homes as festive as possible .  I hope your guests gave you more advanced notice than the Krank’s received!

With one week to go before Christmas, are you finding yourself scrambling to get everything ready?  Though we can’t purchase gifts for you, we can give you a Christmas green cleaning checklist to help you maintain a green clean, tidy environment for your family and guests.

The Week Before Christmas --Green Cleaning Checklist:

Over the weekend completely clear out and green clean the refrigerator with Brightly Green Dish Wash or Brightly Green Multi-Purpose Cleaner.  Straighten up the pantry if needed.

Monday:  Let the light shine in!  Give windows an eco-friendly clean.

Tuesday:  It’s a cobweb chaser day!  Attack cobwebs around ceilings with Brightly Green Multi-Purpose Cleaner sprayed on a dry mop head. Dust furniture with Brightly Green Wood Floor Cleaner (use on finished wood surfaces).

Wednesday:  Gussy up the guest room.  Dust, vacuum and fluff up the pillows!  Make sure there are enough warm blankets on the bed.  Don’t forget to check the status of the guest bathroom.  If you typically do laundry on one day of the week, do it no later than today so you can focus on family the rest of the week.

Thursday:  Make your kitchen sparkle!  Green clean kitchen surfaces from stove top and kitchen sink, down to the floors!

Friday:  Tackle all bathrooms in the house.  Give special attention to the main bathroom most guests would use.  Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the toilet bowl brush as an added natural fragrance for the room!

Saturday: Morning--Give a quick vacuum on major gathering rooms and or sweep/mop them.   If possible, cook parts of your Christmas dinner ahead of time to make the meal easier to manage.

Saturday: Evening (Christmas Eve)—Enjoy family and relax!

Sunday (Christmas Day):  The day has finally arrived!  Merry Christmas!!
