Let's make this Earth Day, April 22, 2012 a family event! Here's how...
Recently in one of our local grocery stores there was an ad posted on the community ad board. This ad was asking for volunteers to come to a nearby state park and pull evasive weeds that are threatening other plant life. I pulled one of the tabs that had the contact number of the person to reach (only one other tab had been taken). By the time I had finished my shopping I noticed on the wall that most of the other tabs were taken as well! It's great to know that others want to make a difference too!
This story got us at Brightly Green Cleaners thinking...what a difference it would make if more families got involved in their local parks. Maybe evasive weeds are not the problem...but litter could be!
Contact your local city, county or state park and volunteer as a family to help clean up the park! (You could even get a few families together to join you at the park then meet back at your home for a barbeque!)
Together...let's make the earth a little greener!
