The assumption is if we want a real clean, then the cleaners need to have strong (harsh) chemicals

cleaning products do not have to list all of their ingredients on their
labels. Also, regulations are not very
stringent on cleaners. There are many
name-brand cleaning products on the market today that contain chemicals that
have been found to be human carcinogens (cancer-causing agents). Some cleaners have chemicals that damage red
blood cells (2-butoxyethanol chemical).
Others contain quaternary ammonium compounds or ethanolamines that are
considered asthmagens.
Labels with warnings:
“fatal if inhaled” (on many air
fresheners), or “fatal if swallowed” –don’t seem worth the risk to use
them!
Oven cleaners that say “fume free”
and yet tell you to use in a well-ventilated area—hmmm… seems fishy to me!
