Celebrate Halloween Eco-Friendly Style!

With Halloween less than a month away, take the time now to get your eco-friendly decorations and party supplies!  Are you at a loss for costume ideas?  Keep reading for eco-friendly, and budget-friendly costume ideas!

COSTUME IDEAS:  SAVE $$ & SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT

Consider Thrift Stores:  As I do my weekly grocery shopping and errands I see many costumes hanging in window displays at thrift stores.  What a waste to use a costume and then have it end up in a landfill somewhere.  If you are looking for a costume stop in to your local thrift store, they may have just want you need!  If you already have a costume, consider donating it after Halloween to that
thrift store.

National Costume Swap Day:  October 13th.  A nation-wide event that may be happening in your area; if not, then maybe you will want to register your town to host an event.
Visit: National Costume Swap Day for details!

Homemade Costumes:  Recycle materials found around your home to make a unique costume!  Inspire the creativity within your child(ren), allow him/her to make their costume from household items.  Be sure to add your parental assistance where appropriate!

ECO-FRIENDLY DECORATIONS & PARTY SUPPLIES:

Let nature help with the decorations; use gourds, pumpkins, corn stalks...you get the idea!

Younger kids love to help decorate the home for an event--allow them to help you by making some of the decorations.  How about fingerprint spiders or egg carton bats.

GREEN CLEAN YOUR HALLOWEEN:

With any party you host; be sure to keep your Brightly Green Multi-Purpose Cleaner handy for quick countertop and table wipe downs.  Just before your guests arrive--spray the door's window with Brightly Green All Natural Glass Cleaner.  A warming entryway says, "Welcome, we're glad you're here!"
