Keep
your Holiday Spending IN CHECK!
Financial Stress can be
eliminated if you stay focused & disciplined!
Budget
vs. Gift List—
Compare
where you are at in terms of staying on budget.
What adjustments do you need to make—this can be an
opportunity to practice fiscal responsibility so that you do not end up with a
stressful credit card bill come January.
Shopping Tip One: if you have received “Bonus Bucks” or
whatever it may be coined—go in to that store with determination only to spend what would fall under the “Bonus
Bucks” you can get someone a gift that
was “Free”!
Shopping Tip Two: Don’t rule out consignment shops or thrift
stores. You can find some real treasures
there at incredible deals!!
Budget
vs. Party Plans—
Have you mapped out how much you can afford for
holiday parties/gatherings?
Figure that out TODAY!
Party Tip One:
Are you the host/hostess? Make the occasion
a potluck event—helps to reduce your costs and you get to try new dishes! Ask guests to bring drinks and desserts. There are many ways you can involve others,
not only does this help with the cost of the party, but it helps to free you up
to do other things—like enjoy the party!
Party Tip Two: Protect our environment and your wallet! Green your party through environmentally
friendly decorations, and recyclable tableware.
Budget
vs. Travel—
Are there any adjustments that need to be made in this
category? Something we sometimes forget
to account for is kennel costs. Remember
that pets come into this equation too.
Travel Tip One: Would leaving a day earlier or later help you
out with travel rates? Consider making
that kind of an adjustment if possible.
Travel Tip Two: Consider carpooling?
Living Green means being responsible in ALL areas of
Life! Take the stress out of Christmas
purchasing by staying within your budget.
